While you might have seen news of a potential partial government shutdown, I wanted to confirm that UCOR’s work is funded and our work will not be impacted.
Congress has passed and the President has signed the “FY26 Energy & Water Development Appropriations Act,” a comprehensive $40 billion spending measure that funds our FY26 cleanup and operations work along with funding for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Y-12 National Security Complex.
Thanks to your hard work in 2025, federal appropriators continue to see our cleanup work at Oak Ridge as investment-worthy.
Please continue your consistent focus on safety in every aspect of your work, and especially on your commute and at home. It will be tough to top all that you’ve accomplished, but I am confident UCOR’s Culture of Excellence will continue to excel and deliver in 2026.
