Trees removed from Outfall 724 area at Heritage Center

A significant amount of vegetation and trees were recently removed at the Heritage Center surrounding Outfall 724 and the adjunct 770 embayment. The work was performed by AISI-CTI JV, a joint venture subcontract between AIS Infrastructure and CTI and Associates, Inc. AISI-CTI JV was originally onboarded for tree removal at the Environmental Management Disposal Facility; however, knowing about this high priority work, the team added an option in the AISI-CTI subcontract to perform this additional tree felling scope at the Heritage Center. Approximately 1 acre of trees were removed and mulched in the span of two days. Heritage Center crews are now focused on dewatering the embayment and preparing for upcoming embayment contouring and removal of Outfall 724.
