I am honored to let you know that yesterday, March 9, I assumed the role as President and Chief Executive Officer of UCOR.
This is an exciting new chapter and opportunity for me and UCOR—one that will lead our team to continue making monumental strides in cleanup and foster strong community, education, and workforce partnerships. We will also further enable Vision 2040 to clean up the past, repurpose DOE lands, and power the future. I look forward to serving alongside you to partner with DOE and advance the mission and vision for the Oak Ridge Reservation.
As I reflect on my time as the leader of the North America Business Line with Amentum, I am filled with gratitude and respect for the incredible success we experienced, and I hope to bring that continued success to UCOR operations. We are doing some of the most challenging cleanup work in the DOE complex, and I’m certain your commitment to excellence and safe performance will lead to continued great progress on the Oak Ridge Reservation.
I am excited and honored to lead this extraordinary UCOR team, and I look forward to meeting you as we forge a path forward to make Oak Ridge the benchmark for cleanup excellence. I am committed to keep you informed.
Finally, I would like to offer my sincerest thanks to Ken Rueter for leading this incredible team during the past 12 years. UCOR’s reputation for getting the job done safely and efficiently is truly a model that other contractors seek to replicate. Ken’s leadership combined with your commitment to exceptional performance have transformed Oak Ridge and created an industrial and nuclear technology hub for the region. I’m excited to see what happens next as we work together to advance cleanup operations and support Oak Ridge’s future development.
Best Regards,
Jim Blankenhorn
UCOR President & Chief Executive Officer
