Next week is Construction Suicide Prevention Week

Monday, Sept. 8, begins Construction Suicide Prevention Week – dedicated to increasing awareness, support, and prevention. The construction industry has one of the highest rates of suicide in the nation, affecting thousands of construction workers each year. Join us next week and throughout the month of September and show your support.

Dates to mark on your calendar:

  • Wednesday, Sept. 10:  Color Out – wear purple and/or teal to show your support
  • Thursday, Sept. 18 (11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.):  In-person Suicide Awareness Workshop at 100 UV, Room 125
  • Thursday, September 25th (11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.):  Virtual Suicide Awareness Workshop via Microsoft Teams
