Team: Katie Baer (Groundhogs) and Rachel Byrd and Sarah Baki-Hashemi (TRAILBLAZERS)
Katie, Rachel, and Sarah questioned the duplication of notes taking place between logs and developed a system with a single consistent description entry. This reduced work and ensured one detailed entry for the description of soil characterization.
Billy Butler, Eagle Eye
Billy observed a bald eagle acting strangely and notified an eagle rehab facility. He then assisted the rehab team with the capture and removal of the eagle at Haw Ridge.
Thomas Copeland, OSPREY
Thomas questioned that a fire extinguisher was in waste that was dumped at EMWMF. The fire extinguisher was removed and notifications were made. This action ensured that the fire extinguisher will be disposed of properly.
Andrew Lowe and Michael Potter, WILE-E
Andrew and Michael questioned the condition of a loading dock at ETTP. After looking at the dock, UCOR Safety personnel barricaded it until Engineering staff could assess the condition of the dock. The Engineering team determined that the dock needs repair, and it will remain barricaded until the building owner can complete the repairs.
Joe Ogan and Zac Cooper, BOBCATS
Joe and Zac questioned a dark spot in the NW gravel parking lot at TWPC caused by a powerline transformer that had an oil leak. They immediately notified the correct individuals and barricaded the area. This helped prevent a potential transformer failure and allowed the problem to be corrected quickly.
